Job Description (Posting). Job Title:
Data Center Hand & Feet Managing Data Center and provide onsite support to DC Admins for Priority and maintenance issues1. Assign switch ports to specific VLANs2. Patch phone ports to switch as needed3. Perform packet traffic analysis for troubleshooting4. Troubleshoot issues with fiber links between switches5. Troubleshoot and replace chassis blades when required6. Assist Biogen Network admins as required7. A periodic (minimum twice weekly) visual check of the IDF rooms for cooling and power status (specifically UPS alarms and PDU health)8. Control-M, NetBackup, Tivoli Work Scheduler9. Server Performance monitoring10. Networking and Operating System basics11. Assist Biogen Network admins as required12. A periodic (minimum twice weekly) visual check of the IDF rooms for cooling and power status (specifically UPS alarms and PDU health)13. Knowledge of HP-Open View as Monitoring Tool14. Basic knowledge of problem management tools like ServiceNow 15. Basic knowledge about Hardware like Servers, Storage devices16. Basic knowledge of Operating Systems- Windows 2003 servers Enterprise/Standard Edition.17. Basic knowledge about Windows 2003 Active Directory structure, MS Exchange 2003 and File/Print Server18. To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
