Job Description:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing accounting tasks required to compile and maintain the Company's accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
Working under the direction of the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Clerk works with vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
The Accounting Clerk also prepares invoices for distribution to the Company's customers.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Monitor the accounting email inbox, download and save vendor invoices into the appropriate folder.
Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and enter into the accounting system (QuickBooks and/or NetSuite).
Review vendor statements to ensure that all vendor invoices have been received and processed.
Create and email customer invoices as directed.
Interacts with visitors as needed, creates visitor badges, and escorts visitors within the facility as needed.
Monitors and maintains breakroom supplies.
Orders meals and coordinates staff lunches as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Uphold SQF requirements including promotion of a strong & positive food safety culture.
Active involvement in implementation, upkeep and continuous improvement of food safety as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Stewardship for our B-corp mission to promote worldwide health and wellness by fostering the delivery of high quality, healthy foods through sustainable methods.
Qualifications:
Ability to effectively use computer and common business software including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc and an automated financial management system.
Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of sometimes stressful situations under tight deadlines.
Associate's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance - or equivalent experience.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
Self-motivated and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Detail oriented, ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate relationships with other employees and outside organizations.
